Sharing talents to other people serves as a great blessing and surely glorifies our Heavenly Father.
A number of the music team members cheerfully devoted their time in tutoring the brethren of Basig Assembly of God church. The Basig congregation church council headed by Bro. Remigio Paciteng invited the music team to come and minister by teaching musical instruments and tips on leading worship to their members. Led by the music director Neferty C.Palpeg, the team moved on despite the seemingly bad weather and arrived safely by God’s favour.
The music tutorial was held last October 22-25, 2012. It focused in teaching keyboard, drums, acoustic and bass guitars, and vocals. Other topics like tips in emceeing, song leading and power point presenting were also taught and demonstrated.
The keyboard tutorial was handled by Larry Lacambra; drums- Samuel Besic; acoustic and bass guitars-Josias Palpeg, Raymond Damoslog and Ferdinand Subion; vocals and lectures-Neferty Palpeg; and, power point presentation –Marc Ceenan Malucay.
There were more than 25 students (young and old) who enlisted and were separated per instrument during the day sessions. The church’s music team was assigned to lead the worship service in the evening including emceeing and song leading for the hands-on experience.
Also, the students were tasked to have recital on the last night of the event. All of them performed well in applying what they have learned. It was a good learning experience for all who participated. Moreover, there were a lot of testimonies shared from the students as well as the church elders. The recital night was wonderful and it ended successfully with prayer and songs.
