Pastor Recmar Duping, the pastor-in-charge of the Bineng outreach of THMAGC named Bineng Mission and Renewal Center Assembly of God, led the 14th year commemoration of said outreach last September 16, 2012. Pastor James Shim, a Korean missionary to the Philippines, shared Hebrews 12:1-2 with the theme “Fixing our eyes on Jesus.”
With the theme “Celebrating God’s Faithfulness“, Pastor Shim had three points shared:
- throw everything,
- run the race with perseverance and
- fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
He stressed that in serving Jesus, Christians must throw off everything that hinders their service. Material and other things may be important but if they get in the way of one’s service to God, the believer must refocus. Priorities must be set. God must be number one.
In running the race, the faithful believer must not give up. He must press on, knowing that rewards await him when he finish victoriously. And, whatever happens, he must have his attention focused on Jesus, who will see him through. He will help every believer finish well.
Around fifty brethren excluding children from Bineng, Japos the other outreach, and THMAGC were around headed by senior pastor Rev. Walter T. Caput. Hymns in Ibaloi were sung during the celebration. And, overflowing food was served after by the ever-hospitable Bineng brethren.
