Ministries and Pioneering Works

In 1979 the Youth Ministry was organized which was headed by Sis. Imelda Igualdo-Macanes. In 1980, together with the young people from Tuding Assembly of God Church, they ministered to prisoners, visitors and jail guards of the Benguet Provincial Jail – this was called the Jail Ministry.

The youth were also active in church pioneering. Together with other church members, pioneering works were done in Lamut in 1980; Palali, Sablan in 1984; Tawang,     La Trinidad in 1984 and Beckel in 1987.   Rev. and Mrs. Charles Kim, missionaries from Korea, helped in the work in Beckel and also in other ministries of the church.

In 1984 the Men’s Ministry was organized. Bro. Liso Agpas Sr. was the first to head the group. The Lord had enabled them to participate in church building and construction of other facilities apart from their involvement in other ministries.

In April 19, 1985 the LTAG Church was officially affiliated with the Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God, Inc. The LTAG Church was officially recognized as a Local Assembly of the Northern Luzon District Council. This gave the right of representation in both the District and General Councils.

It may also be noteworthy to state that in 1985 the church financial records and reports were documented, systematized and filed. This was facilitated by Bro. Liso Agpas Sr. and even financial records from LUBIC were brought up to La Trinidad to be organized. Ms. Francisca Martin and Ms. Flor Baobaoen were taught on book keeping.

In 1986 the Agape Campus Fellowship, now called the Agape Campus Missions, was organized by the young people studying in Benguet State University. The first president then was Sis. Anita Estera-Mauting. Up to now students are active in attending regular fellowships and organizing activities where they could minister to their fellow students.
